That was a really tough call.

One proud monkey, I love what you did with Leash, that's genius. I had to vote Jim though, his vocals were scarily good in some parts.

I still haven't decided which I like more--a faithful reproduction or a reinvention of a song. I guess it depends on both. These two weren't supposed to go against each other but neither of the people in the first round got their song to me on time (delight in our youth tried but I was away). It's too bad. I'm glad we have the two loss policy since both of these deserve to advance.

tough choice...on one hand I don´t like Leash as a song and absolutely love Immortality, on the other one, the way Leash was worked out here I felt it rocked. Jim´s cover I really liked but I´m going with Oneproudmonkey for originality

This is a tough decision,

I liked Jim's cover, as Stu said his vocals were very good in parts.

I really like Oneproudmonkey's adaptation of Leash.

Neither person deserves to lose but I'm going to have to go for Jim on the strength of his vocals.

My vote goes to oneproudmonkey.

Great reworking of Leash. The acoustic really matched the pace of the song.

Jim's tune sounded great, but I think I'll always be partial to someone reworking a song. Requires a little more effort.

Great first round!!!

Wow this Comp. Is really really close. I loved what Monkey did with the PJ songs... takes a lot of effort to do so! Good job! and Good luck!

this was very tough! Immortality is one of my favorites, so I tried not to be too overly critical. As mentioned, the vocals were very strong.

When I saw that there was a cover of Leash I was wondering how the hell someone would pull of the energy of that, and wasn't expecting much. I was very impressed with the acoustic version.

It's definitely a good thing there is a 2 loss rule, because neither deserves to go. I am voting for oneproudmonkey's Leash because of the originality of the reinterpretation.

Yeah, this is a tough one. I especially liked the guitar interpretations on the Leash cover. Good work, the both of you...

Cheers Jim... good luck to you as well! lest this turn into a mutual backpatting contest, i really liked what you did as well, especially the solos, made me realise i can't wait to have access to my electric guitar again! also made me think "shit, i had to come up against a good one first round, didn't i?" :)

well done :)

you have to sign up as an artist, and use the account tools i think - although i would change the titles so it's not immediately apparent that it's a copyright violation :)
