I am getting so fed up with this. There are so many films that are being completely neglected by R1 DVDs, or even all together by any form of DVD.
About 1/4 of Roman Polanski's work is yet to be released in R1, and these are the worst offenses to me. They are holding me back from seeing all the work of my second favorite director - unacceptable.
And maybe HALF of the legendary Elia Kazan's catalogue has been released. Where the hell is Wild River? A Tree Grows In Brooklyn? AMERICA, AMERICA?!
Does this bullshit have something to do with the directors' shady pasts or something? What the fuck?
And even Night of the Creeps or Meet The Feebles! The Burning! A Cat In The Brain! THE PIG-FUCKING MOVIE! FUCKING DVDS!

It takes some time. I remember thinking when I saw on Reel.com that the Critters movies were being released on DVD that there are much better movies that could have been transferred. Sometimes it makes me sick.
But I just saw that A Marked Woman was being released in this format. That makes me very happy.

Meet the Feebles is or was out on dvd, I have it.
Night of the Creeps on the other hand, a major oversight on someone's part.

It was an unauthorized release.
And my DVD player, unfortunately, is not hack-able.
Are you sure about that? Was it this one?
Because that's the one I watched and everything about it seems legit to me.

I hope to get my hands on Bitter Moon someday.

You can rent an the actual dvd of this at a Mom and Pop place down the street from where I live. Go figure. I've got a copy of it at least.
Supposedly there's a place that has the 2 disc Cannibal Holocaust to rent as well, but I can never get the ass monkey who lives close enough to have a membership to rent it for me.

I have Bitter Moon - it's a very underrated film. Extremely harrowing to watch, despite its numerous flaws.

Agreed. Peter Coyote plays the struggling writer (a role I have a fondness for) so well.

If you can get a disc that isn't region 1...and you have a DVD-RW on your computer, you can use a program called AnyDVD that removes the region restrictions and allows you to rip and burn it to a DVD-R playable on your DVD player.
It's a roundabout way, and doesn't work for everyone...but it's an option
