At least he showed ND that he isnt a bad coach, and he can get work.
ND never gave him a chance. His recruits are freshmen and sophs right now. He's still using the kids of the last administration. College coaches need a minimum of 5 years to show what they're really capable of.

Many people are saying ND is done for good. Many are saying the school will never be able to have the prestige it once had. This is sad for me because Notre Dame is the best thing we have in Indiana. (except maybe the Indianapolis Motor Speedway)

IU hoops is still in good shape, and you have one last run with Gene Keady. Joe Tiller's done wonders with Purdue, you have Peyton Freaking Manning, Jeff Gordon....Indiana's looking just fine to me ND sucks. They need to suck it up and join a conference because there's no way NBC renews that ridiculous contract when it expires.

Didja know UW is the only D1 program with a black football and basketball coach?
Eh, he's better than what we had, but is still only maybe the 4th best coach in the Pac 10. Bummer that they couldn't do better.
I think Ty might surprise a lot of people with what he's capable of doing at a school without the "academic" restrictions. Okay, that's all BS. I do think Willingham is a good coach, and given the right amount of time (as you said, 5yrs, 4 minimum), he can turn UW around.

I was really talking about the school itself as being the best thing we have in our state. Most states have monuments and junk. All we have is Notre Dame and IMS that attract tourest. I agree with you on all the sports we have. Im supprised you didnt say anything about the Pacers. Some of the Pacers may be on "vacation" but when we get our full team togeather we will be one of the top 5 teams easy.

Charlie Weis is a great coach I think and the football team will be fine however I still say the at the time the Willingham firing was the stupidist coach firing in the history of collegiate athletics. Then a week later came an even worse decision. Ole Miss. What the fuck are they smoking in Mississippi to think they could get anyone better than Cutcliff?
No amount of polish will allow the golden dome to shine brighter than anyone else again, but don't be suprised if Charlie puts toegther some really good teams, at least teams that are worth watching.

I would be more suppried if they didnt win under Wies because of what Athletic Supporter said up there about how all of Willinghams players being underclassmen. With all of Ty's recrutes and Wies coaching skills this team can win some ball games.
