I must nominate THE SCENE from Swordfish.

Greatest scene:

Oh, I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration? I didn't mean to do that. Please, continue. I believe you were saying something about "best intentions."?

For me, it's always been the final showdown between Blondie, Tuco and Angel Eyes in the Good the Bad the Ugly.

I think my favorite is in Godfather II when Mike finally talks to Fredo. Fredo's lines are classic. "I'm smart! Not like everybody says! I was your older brother Mike and i was stepped over!"

I know it wasn't in the right order but that's the jist of it. Such a great scene

The greatest movie scene ever is from the godfather Part I:

Don: "My wife is crying upstairs. I hear cars coming to the house. Consiglieri of mine, I think you should tell your Don what everyone seems to know."
Tom: "I didn't tell Mama anything. I was about to come up and wake just now and tell you."
Don: "But you needed a drink first."
[Tom nods]
Don: "And now you've had your drink."
Tom: "They shot Sonny on the causeway. He's dead."

Best. Delivery. Ever.

That scene is disturbing as hell.

I can't choose a greatest scene ever, but some of my favorites:
A Clockwork Orange - When Alex regains control of the group, or at least he thinks he does.
AND
The opening scene. Alex looks so fucking menacing.
AND
When Alex and his droogs battle the opposing gang. So violent, so beautiful.

Die Hard - Hans and Takagi in the boardroom. The whole scene has this tense feel of "he's gonna shoot him, he's gonna shoot him, he's gonna shoot him...," you just don't know when it's gonna come.

Reservoir Dogs - "Stuck In The Middle With You"

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - When Indy and co. stumbles onto the cult. It's just so hellish and eerie.

Almost Famous - "We showed you the country, did everything but get ya laid."
"..."

Full Metal Jacket - The opening scene.

The Shining - When Jack just stares out the window at Wendy and Danny.
AND
"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy..."

The Godfather - When Sonny is killed.
AND
When Michael shoots the two men in the restaurant.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail - Pick one.

This Is Spinal Tap - "It's a complete catastrophe!"

Scarface - "SAY HELLO TO MY LIL FRIEND!"

Okay, I'll stop.

The scene in Tombstone ending with Wyatt Earp's line: "You tell 'em I'm comin', and Hell's comin' with me!"

Maybe not the best but the best in my small collection

I know I favor quite a few, but one that I'll mention for now, since it's in my memory at the moment, is the Ice Dance scene in "Edward Scissorhands." It's so beautifully shot, and Danny Elfman's mystical music accentuates the thrilling beauty.
