Don't get me wrong-- I grew up on Pearl Jam. "Ten" came out when I was 15, and every album since then has been a big part of my life. I've seen them a dozen times in concert, and supported them in every endeavor.
But this newly "Re-Invented" Pearl Jam is bothering me, and I can't quite put my finger on it.
The album doesn't seem genuine.. the concert I just saw seemed like they were just going through the motions and waiting to pick up their paycheck after the show... all the press... all the hype... now Vh1 storytellers? Come on. Something doesn't feel right.
The bandwagon stops here.
I'm quitting.

I prefer the cool alternative vibe of the Yield and Binaural period. but i still love the band a lot.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out...
My only problem with the current tour is that I preferred the old stripped, no lighting effects shows. Otherwise, they are playing their asses off live IMO.

I'm not quiting the band but I'm taking a break from listening to them this summer. I'm going to be so busy I probably won't even miss them that much. Wait, yeah I will.
