Got this game yesterday after class and I could not stop playing. One of the best strategy games I've ever played.

Goddamn it I love that game. Get the Barbaria Invasion expansion pack NOW! I can't wait for Medieval 2...

I bought a pack that had both of them. I haven't gotten to the barbarian invasian expansion yet, still making my way through Rome and damn, I can't put this game down

Play as the Carthaginians and you get War Elephants which are the most fun unit in the game. Just build about 4 units of Elephants and set the loose against the enemy's best infantry and then watch them fly up the air. Just don't send them against any phalanxes and you'll be sorted. Great fun!

I hear ya, started a Cathaginian campaign last night. They have far better generals then the Romans, you can't beat getting a 16 year old heir to the family with damn four stars in leadership. By the time the guy is 29 he's a seven star Hannibal tearing through Rome. Just got to the point in which I can train war elephants, Rome stands no chance.
