Based on comments about Life Wasted (people liking the fade out, people hating it) what are your thoughts about PJ use of fading?
Daughter, No way, Rival….there are good examples of these type of songs.

Because it's the intro song, and because the Life Wasted theme runs throughout the record, I think it was right to fade it out rather than stop it dead.
However, fading out Mr. McCready is another matter entirely...
the main problem is where in the song it fades, imo life wasted has a long enough solo at the end and fades at a good time and it flows into wws well, but big wave on the other hand fades out when it feels like the song is only half done like they werent bothered with a final chorus or anything.

i don't like fading... it makes you too aware of it being a recording, i always perfer finishing the song, fading seems like a cop out to me... even in movies i think fades are a delicate thing to mess with, and often are annonying

Plus you cant do a fade live.
When your playing 90 different songs, it would be good to know how they all end. PJ often sound to me like they are having a hard time tying songs up, so I say NO FADE EVER!
