It's climbing fast at radio...it's got legs, anyway. Plus it's looking like the record isn't going to fall too far again this week, so industry-types are being shown that there is still interest in this record.

I'm not really paying attention to specific cities...I'm looking at the All Access national charts for Alternative Rock and Active Rock formats, where it got a combined number of plays that is just over 1,000 last week.

world wide suicide dude.
actually Pearl Jam has NEVER had a #1 single
WWS was #1 on the Modern Rock Charts & the Mainstream Rock Charts, but only got to #41 on the Hot 100, which is the chart that is used when declaring if a band has had a "#1 single" or not.

their highest chart position on the main Billboard singles chart was Last Kiss at #2
The Mainstream & Modern Rock Charts don't mean nearly as much in the grand scheme to industry execs.
ok any song that becomes #1 on any chart is technically a no1. single, thats what they mean by that. It doesn't go by it being on the billboard hot 100.

nope, you're wrong.
when they talk about artists w/ the highest number of #1 singles, the only chart they take into account is the Hot 100, that's it.
