I am a casual tennis fan. Which is a bigger fan than most. Would be nice to see Roger overcome the clay finally this year. I would like Nadal better if he would quit wearing those funny capis pants.

Then again, I guess the bass player for a certain band has been known to wear funny looking capris pants. :)

4 Belgians played today, 4 Belgians qualified. Our Christophe Rochus beat Johansson. Well done!

The men draw looks to have a Federer/Nadal final written all over it. Let's hope for some great tennis. I thought, with all the wind taken into account, those two youngsters, the French Monfils and the Brit Murray, played a great game today. They have a bright future ahead of them.

As to the women,
I can't see Clijsters winning it. She's just not playing too well. And there seems to be always something wrong with her.
Hénin looked incredibly strong today. She'll be hard to beat IMO.
But what I would really love: Martina Hingis doing well! 8)

Goddammit, I've been watching way too much TV today.

Americans off to a good start again. We need to start teaching the kid's how to play on clay at an early age huh

Gonna be fun to watch Nadal though.

Women's game is so wide open.

nadal broke the clay court record monday. the guy hits possibly the heaviest forehand i have ever seen. glad to see roddick out. gossip i heard today was gilbert is possibly gonna coach andrew murrary, the new scottish sensation. Matches to check out tomorrow:

Moya(former champ) vs. Youzny(talented russian)

&

Nalbandian(very solid) vs. gasquet(young french men with very pretty one-handed backhand.

Hope Federer and Hingis win. I believe neither have won it yet.

Federer hasn't,
I don't know about Hingis, but I'll never forget her last Roland Garros final against Graf. Wow. Great stuff.

its sad when the typical european have gotten better on hard courts, yet we really havent improved on clay. part of that is they are building more hard courts over there and were not building european clay courts here.

I prefer tennis on clay
and that's not because I'm European. :)
