Just wondering what PJ Torch Songs are your favourites (or just list all the ones you've seen) I'm guessing Come Back will become one, or has it already?

PS i did a search for this and couldn't find anything, if something like this is already up Merge Away.

well it was a good question anyway. A torch song is when you carry a torch (can't let go) of a past love. For instance, 99% of Fiona Apple's first two records are torch songs.

PJ doesn't have that many. Black, Come Back, and I got Shit (maybe nothingman and TMY). In that group, nothingman or black take the cake

I never took indifference as a love song

to me its a song where any singer really belts it out with a big clear clean voice. like In Hiding, esp. at the end. or Man of the Hour. the Its Okay tag esp. off Jones Beach boot. Parting Ways. Places where Ed does a little vocal gymnastics.

i still don't see a definitive answer to what a torch song is in this thread.

I assumed it's a song where people put up their lighters...hence the pun on "lighter" in the thread title.
