I'm listening to Trey Anastasio's Shine album and there is song called "Air Said to Me" that, to me, sounds like vintage PJ.

I'm not implying that the guy is ripping off PJ or anything like that, I'm just saying that if Ed was singing the song, it would be classic PJ material.

Have you ever heard a song and thought the same thing? What do ya say we leave Creed out of this please?

Walk - Pantera

Hah, just kidding, but I have always wondered what it would sound like if they covered it, the lyrics sound very PJish

I forget the name of the band (maybe UPO), but they did a song called "Godless" back in 2000 that sounded like Pearl Jam to me. Not so much the lyrics, but the music.

I know it's nothing new, but Stone Temple Pilots Plush might just as well have been a Pearl Jam song.

I'm not sure if anyone will agree with me, but I always though Darius Rucker from Hootie and the Blowfish sounded like Eddie, especially on "Time."

I'm not the only one hearing this. Cool.

Much of Interpol sounds like PJ. Not the vocals but the music, particularly the guitars. Very Vedderesque.

I just heard a clip of it on iTunes and it does sound a lot like mid-90s PJ.

First instrumental on touring band 2000's extra features Band section I believe.

I hear the similarities between both bands and so do other people I know. I'll bet they'd admit to the influence if asked.

I was hooked on Chevelle a little bit before they broke. I would try to get people to listen to them and they said it sounded like PJ. I still to this day can't figure it out.

But there's a Canadian band called Pilate, they had this song that sounded like it should have been a B-side on Yield. I'm guessing the similarity is intentional. Too bad everything else I've heard from them sucks.

Anything that Staind does acoustically has hints of Ed as well. And of course Aaron Lewis did that cover of Black on the Family Values '01 CD.
