Has anyone else seen this? It's a Japanese suspense/horror movie directed by Takashi Miike. It's prety hard to come across an American version, but i watched it this weekend.

This is one of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen. Hands down. Just really uncomfortable to watch. The whole movie is shot quite beautifully, but the final reel is just fucking horrible.

It's about a movie producer who loses his wife. After being alone for 7 years, his friend convinces him to hold a fake movie audition to find a new wife. It turns out the one he picks is a crazy freak.

She basically tortures him at the end in real time. It's the most uncomfortable scene i have ever watched.

i've heard about it quite a few times. seems it's very misleading, because half of the movie is a romantic story, then it shifts to a totally unbearable gorefest.

Yeah. But the movie is pretty dark. Even if you hadn't heard about it first, you would still be pretty suspicious that something wasn't right. The interview witht the director said that about 17% of the audience walks out during that last scene. I can totally believe it.

If they ever showed this movie in theaters in America, you wouldn't hear about anything else for a month. It would cause such a shitstorm.

Yeah, I heard a lot about it. I saw some clips of that last scene, looks fucked up beyond reason.

...I'd like to see it.

It's a pretty good movie. I wasn't nearly as disturbed by it as most people are. Maybe that's because I heard so much about how horrible it is. Or maybe I'm just a sick freak.

That's where i heard of it too. I'm a big horror movie fan. I bought all kinds of stuff off of that list. Weird does not begin to describe the utter horror of what she does to that guy though.

Hmmm I stay away from scary movies. But it looked more gross than scary?

It is more gross than scary. It's just not right. It's disturbing watching a cute little asian girl enjoying torturing somebody so much.

Yeah, my roomate bought it for some reason and we watched it one night. It's a good movie, but one I'm pretty confident that I'll never watch again.

i just watched this movie this past weekend. my gf saw it on some top list of horror movies thing on tv a while back. i have to say the movie is very slow leading up to the end, but man do things get crazy. that has to be some of the most disturbing shit i've seen in a while. apparently this movie was produced back in 1999, but somehow it was still in the new release section at hollywood video.

Overly-long and boring film, ending is definitely a shocka though. Decent idea, mediocre execution.

I still think that the most fucked up part of the film is the guy in the bag with the mutilated hand.... that scene alone where she makes him eat the puke is just wrong!! One of the most bizarre movies I've ever seen, it takes a bit to get interesting but once it starts, it hits you like a ton of bricks
