FYI, jeff a. used to have courtside season tix to sonics game and you could usually catch him sitting 4 or 5 seats to the right of the basket.
(I used to do Key arena security part-time a few years ago..)
I personally recommend EMP Museum, it's awesome for music fans. Although extremely light on PJ stuff, it's still awesome.

But anyway, go to Seattle in September during Bumbershoot. The weather is usually nice then, and there is lots of great music to hear. Maybe I'll see you there. I usually stay with a friend in the U district around that time.
Check out the fivehorizons.com Seattle visitor's guide. It's a few years old, but still very good.

I would agree about Bumbershoot..I've been to Seattle a lot and the last time, I did like the Jimi Hendrix thing-went to his gravesite, to the statue in Capitol Hill and the EMP..
I wouldn't go expecting to see any of the guys, as you'd probably be disappointed, but who knows..

i'll second that recommendation. i think seattle is always a blast - but if you want to avoid bad weather, aim for summer. or wait til the tour is announced and go when you can catch a gig in their hometown

I don't know if you'll stumble upon Ed. lol. I'm heading to Seattle for my first visit this coming June. I guess I need to check out EMP. I heard about it and was wondering what it's like. Anything else I should check out?

I used that fivehorizons' Seattle Guide that someone posted above. Found my way to the Singles building and Gas Works Park, pretended I was dating Kira Sedgewick and Bridget Fonda, and had a damn fine time.
