What does the title 'Merkinball' mean? I know that the single is linked to Mirrorball, and it has a wrecking ball on the cover, but that doesn't explain the Merkin part. Anyone?

Can anyone explain to me why someone would need or want a merkin? I mean, do people go bald down there? Do people change their minds after they shave their pubes off? I just don't really get it.
