Yeah, it's a free country. This place would be burned down here in good ole Oklahoma City. We have a lot of Mexicans here.

Damn Mexican arsonists.

That's the beauty of the ignorant racists in Pennsylvania. It's funny, you meet some of the most vocal, virulent racists and bigots you'll ever come across in places like PA, Indiana, and other places in the upper Midwest, not in Mississippi or the South as one might expect. My theory on this has always been that until very recently (since WWII basically), these people NEVER had to deal with black people, or anyone who wasn't just like them. Unlike in the South, where there was institutional racism and such, at least the different people had some understanding of each other, even if the white people wanted to remain seperate and superior. In Central PA, the people I knew were just completely ignorant of anything that was not heir little white protestant world. The shit they would say, totally matter-of-factly, were the stuff of fairy tales of generations ago where I grew up in New York.

At least when you grow up in a diverse area, you know why you hate those who are different from you.

PD, there are plenty of ignorant racists in PA. But you're asking too much of Carlisle.

I've never been to Easton, so I can't speak for that town.

This is one reason why I like Texas; it's a total melting pot.

So censoring free speech is the solution? Some of those go over the line into racism, but being a racist is not illegal, nor should it ever be. No law should ever regulate speech or opinion. It's immoral and ignorant and that is enough.

nice knee jerk response there, dude.

did i say anywhere that he should be censored? did i even imply it?

all i said was that spreading hate was not necessarily the best way to enact political change. if you want to think that i am trouncing free speech, go ahead.

this guy has a big sign and he uses it. if i had a big sign, i'd use it, too.
