Since minicamp has started I think it's time for this thread. I find it pretty amusing that Branch is holding out. He is our best receiver, but is he a number 1? I really don't think so. I think they will get a deal done though. The biggest question mark for me is the o- line. Will Koppen and Light be able to come back from injury? I think this is the bigger question than who will be kicking for us.

He might not be the typical go-to guy, but i think that Brady would disagree with you guys whether or not he's a No. 1. He's the best the Pats have got and he does deserve a raise. I'm not sure how much he's asking for, but I'm sure that they'll work something out. He's not in a position to be too hard line because it's not like he has the cache of Brady or Seymour.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes out of the Graham for Lelie trade rumors. If I were the Pats I would make the trade since they're VERY deep at TE ecspecially after this years draft. I know Lelie hasn't lived up to his potential, but I think that a change of scenery plus a QB who can throw the deep ball would help. I'm so excited to watch Marooney start playing, I think the two headed dragon that could ensue with Dillon will be tough!

I would do that trade with Denver in a heartbeat. From reading the Globe it seems Brady is throwing it towards Watson way quite a bit. Watson has the potential to be great: good hands, great speed, and a good blocker.

According to Belichick, Graham will not be traded at all. Says so somewhere online (Boston.com?). Plus, I would not make that trade. Graham is a great blocking TE (some scouts say the best in the league at his position), something that the Pats have utilized to great effect the last few years

For shame, this thread should be titled, "The Road to 16-0".
Maybe I'm crazy but I expect great things this year. They have a relatively easy schedule and have improved their biggest weaknesses from last year (running game and secondary). 13-3 would not surprise me even though they don't look great on paper (though when have they aside from '04?).
