Looks very Tim Burtonesque. Something tells me I'm going to really like it.

I'm excited about it. I was worried at first because this is one of my favorite movies of all time. That trailer looks sweet though.

most excellent. i can tell i will be simultaneously pleased and creeped out by this movie, like almost all of burton's stuff. a strange, yet enjoyable combination.

there is no place i know to compare with pure imagination

Yeah I know. Jeez man, just because I'm from Nebraska doesn't mean I was born in a barn. :D

I read the book long before I saw the movie with gene Wilder and I can't wait to see this version.

I'm probably going to like this movie but I just didn't think that this was a movie that needed remaking. Gene Wilder is Wonka, he's perfect. The whole movie was done wonderfully. Have they really run out of all the good ideas that they have to remake everything. Just recently they've redone: Wonka, Manchurian Candidate, Ocean's 11, and that's just off the top of my head.

I don't think they can beat the original and I don't even know why they are trying to. This seems like a really stupid idea to remake this.

This is what I thought when I heard the song start in the background of the trailer. I mean, they probably can't use things like the Oompa Loompa Song. But I'm sure Burton will do an excellent job. We'll have to see.
