ok this is going to sound really random. But there was an old muppets movie where they all go to Fozzie's farm house for Christmas. Every single muppet, Sesame st character, (and fraggle?) was in attendence. At one point Beaker entered the house and tripped.

IT was the funniest fucking thing in the world when he tripped and squeaked. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Is there any chance of finding the video online?

I'm reasonably sure that 86% of this thread has to do with drugs.

I got the first season of The Muppet Show on DVD, and it has some neat extras including the original pilot for the show. It's quite different, with no Kermit, and without the familiar “show in a theatre” format. It’s more just like random short clips of skits and weird things with almost no discernable structure. It’s more like flipping channels on the TV.

Anyway, there are some familiar elements like Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, and Sam the Eagle, but I found the Swedish Chef to be really funny. It’s his usually schtick, babbling in faux Swedish while making a sandwich with all sorts of weird ingredients, but in addition they had subtitles running across the bottom of the screen during his parts. Of course, the subtitles were in Chinese.

The added confusion of the Chinese subtitles just cracked me up for some reason.

I loved the muppets. Interestingly, I have a big fear of other puppet-type things such as Chuckie, those talking dummies, and that Phil Collins video.

It's a shame Disney fired all of the puppeteers and replaced them with cheaper college students.
The Muppet's are dead, folks. They done been skinned. =(

Before now, the only time a character would change hands was when a performer retired or died. It was a big deal to Jim, that they were consistant that way. Disney sucks.

Bummage. :(

But to cheer everyone up:

Gonzo did it with Chickens. T3h Muppets was dirrrrrty.

Statler: Well, how do you like the film?
Waldorf: I've seen detergents leave a better film than this.

I watched The Muppets the other night, the '11 movie with Jason Segal. Up and down first hour but the last 30 minutes is pure '70s Muppets tv show. I loved that as a kid and thought they did a great job of catching that sentimentality to my nearly 35 year old self.
Yeah, I'm big Kermit fan too. I still have a lifesize doll I got from a PBS catalog years and years ago. I'm okay with Steve Whitmer now was only one Jim Henson.
