I guess they're not going to trade Kidd and rebuild?

Maybe we'll get him back for the playoffs. If nothing else he'll be back next season. He wanted a year off anyway.

I dont care how washed up Vince seems. The Raptors got scammed. I can see they want to clean up their act, get some hard working people. But three bums and 2 picks aint worth VC for me.

I think Vince will turn it up from now on, and be at least 1/2 decent

Carter has been unhappy and unsuccessful in Toronto for two years now. It won't hurt them at all. What little success they've had this year has come largely without him.

He's an awesome player, he just didn't fit in anymore.

Watch out for NJ, with Kidd dishing it off to Jefferson and Carter. If they all stay healthy they could definately be a force again. We will just have to see if Vince will actually shut up and play ball for once.

"Vince Carter - Half man/ Half Season" - Charles Barkley

In all seriousness he's probably the most frustrating player to watch. If you have the talent to drive and dunk and draw fouls THEN DO IT!!!! dont take 18 foot jumpers all nite when your shooting sucks.

here's a good one.......Dominique Wilkins or Vince Carter??

i choose Dominique.

I wouldn't have done it if I was the Nets. Not for TWO first round draft pick on a guy whos numbers are slowing down and can't stay healthy. Those three guys and one pick, then maybe. Just my opinion.

Well if you are in reference to Dominique in his prime against VC I agree completely. There is no comparison, Dominique=Hall of Fame. As for driving and dunking all night rather than taking 18 footers, he has to settle for the jumper because he has bad knees. If he continues to slash and drive and try to jump over people then he is going to hurt himself again and then won't be able to play at all. Don't take it like I am dissagreeing with you. His jump shot definately sucks but if he wants to stay on the court that is his best bet. But the NBA suck now anyways. The only teams who are fun to watch are Phoenix and Boston and teams like that who emphasize running and passing the basketball. If NJ can get healthy they should be the same way with Jason Kidd, RJ, and VC now but that remains to be seen. I enjoy watching the Celtics. Seven losses by 3 or less, turn those around and the Celts are 17-5 instead of 10-12. Lets see what happens with Vince in NJ.

those are the picks from denver in the kenyon martin deal, though. both of them shouldn't be top 20.

i agree with you...i totally forgot about his knees really. i guess he's gonna end up another Penny Hardaway. a "couldve been".

im interested in seeing the Nets now. theyll be smaller but it could get interesting with the 3 man attack.
