Well, Kurt couldn't sing it for a start. Talk about straining his voice...
But if I wanted to see the the Meat Puppets I would, I just got annoyed that Kurt & Co decided to play some mediocre Meat Puppets songs instead of their own far superior material.
Let's face it, if it wasn't for the Unplugged album, no-one would have even heard of the Meat Puppets...

I'm sorry you don't like the meatpuppets, but they were quite popular before Kurt Cobain & Nirvana decided to cover their song. Yes many more people were exposed to them becasue of that but as far as smaller bands who aren't out whoring themselves out go the Meatpuppets were doign pretty good.
I listen to my meatpuppet albums more then i listen to my nirvana albums thats for sure.

i was going to say that too, but Backwater came out after the unplugged session.
Regardless, they got popular from that song. Not from playing with Nirvana. Hell, there are still people that don't even know those are Meat Puppets songs on the Unplugged album. They're all "woohoo, that's an awesome nirvana song Lake Of Fire, yeah!" You can find em in shitty bars all across america. Sometimes when they're not looking, I steal one of their smokes.

well regardless im glad Cris is sobered up from heroin and crack.... and that they have reconciled and decided to play together again. Hes really been through alot of shit the past 7 or 8 years... i mean who else do you know that has lost a wife from a drug overdose and gets shot in the back by a rent-a-cop outside a PO and actually serve a jail sentance and pay restitution for it.
i only own 3 meat puppets cds but i dig them...i haven't listened in awhile though...i think it was the bassist that had some pretty serious drug problems so hopefully he's past that

After know that someone thinks that Cobain "ruined" lake of fire, I can see the apocalypse coming.
