After leaving the Cincinnati show, my wife was hit by a full sized van while we were crossing the street. There are no life threatening injuries, but she was thrown a good 15 ft and may have some serious damage to her shoulder and back.

The car, traveling at a high rate of speed, wanted to turn right on a green light (and we were crossing on that same green light). We attempted to get out of the way - she went one way and I went the other, and unfortunately the van swirved in her direction. The van appeared to be going nominally 20-25 mph upon impact.

Some people stopped to help, and if was anyone on this board, my wife and I want to say thank you. Your help in obtaining the license plate number and vehicle description was and is much appreciated. I have independent confirmation the license plate number matched a van of the description that my wife and I and witnesses observed.

If the driver posts on this board: our nearly three year old son (whose name happens to be Stone) is not very happy with you.

my friend broke her wrist at the show and was at the hospital the same time and heard about the accident. I'm glad she wasn't seriously hurt and I hope she has fast recovery

Because the driver was drunk and didn't want to go to jail?

Too bad, he's gonna go to jail anyway for hit and run.

ok, but maybe its just me but if i fuckin hit someone and sent them 15 feet then i wouldnt be able to just take off without even knowing if i just killed a person, whether im sober or not

its too bad we have a bunch of shitheads in the world that would take off without even thinking, or caring for the womans well being

i agree with you 100%, but it is entirely possible that he/she was so drunk, they didn't even know they hit someone, which makes being able to have the license and all that info even better.
