I'm just curious what Pearl Jam gifts people are giving out this year...
I say this because I'm in the process of brainstorming for one more Pearl Jam gift for my brother and maybe your ideas (our ideas) can help each other out.
Here goes:
I'm giving him
1. "Live at the Garden" DVD
2. New "Greatest Hits" CD (he wanted it and it is nice for the new mixes)
3. An extra Pearl Jam CD that I compiled to cover our favorites that didn't show up on the hits collection. I made cover art and a label for this CD, too.
Well, that's it for now. He's a fan, but not a hardcore fan--but I'm sure this is right up his alley. And yet, I want to add one more...

i usually give my brothers pj present to keep their cd collection up to my standards. i gave my bro frank the 3 disc boston show last year (he has the same b-day as eddie), but his wife said they didnt have any nirvana cd's so i had to get them unplugged. ill get my brother dan a pearl jam cd though

to a fellow jammer who is afraid to buy things off the net, i am going to get her:
Molo Sessions
rearviewmirror
Showbox DVD
and one of the T-shirts off of Goods Section, just haven't decided yet. i just know i am going to get myself the Get Right and Green Disease ones.
as an early present, i made a mix of rare stuff i knew she didn't have, and gave her a copy of the MTV Unplugged.
(she's an ex that's still my best friend, kind of like my Elaine)

My brother is big fan of the group but has never gotten into trading boots, etc... So I'm going to try and get him a copy of "the movie", I just need to find someone with a dvd burner.

I bought my girlfriend "Beneroya." She has never listened to Pearl Jam, but she has good taste in music so I think it will be a good introduction to PJ for her.

Exactly..."Pearl Jam", "gifts for others" in one sentence...See where I am going with that one..? Luckily most my friends do not listen to PJ, and that is fine by me...More toys for the PJ Scrooge. Yip.

In that case you should have given her rearviewmirror

Man, some people have really added some great ideas to this thread! I like the Benaroya idea, but since I already picked up one live present ("Live at The Garden" DVD), I'm going with Beamer's idea: a T-Shirt. I ordered the Bandwagon T-Shirt on Friday (the 17th), and hope like crazy that it gets here by Wed. the 23rd. I do live in Seattle, so I hope that helps--that is if their distribution center is nearby. So, I think he's making out okay with the new greatest hits, my own compilation of awesome leftovers, the live DVD, and a T-Shirt. It looks like a Pearl Christmas for him.

Sorry that all my posts seem to be shameless promotion, but we posted an article on this very subject at http://www.twofeetthick.com . Seems that a lot of us give gifts to PJ friends/fans and we were stuck in the same hole as everyone else =)
