it's a popularity contest, people don't know who that guy is yet

I hear what you are saying but......................... and a big BUT....................... this happens all the time. I guess it's just about fan support (obviously). I take it as a huge compliment, it just shows the SOX love.
Is there any other fan in the US that loves their team this much ( any sport) ??????????????? And I'm not just basing this on the voting. This is based on the games I watch in other parks where it almost sounds like Fenway. And no.... I didn't vote a single time on this, I could care less who gets voted in.

Hi Parchy.
Yea I wanted to ask you... When would be an appropriate time to start my "'06-'07 Mountaineer Thread"?
When's the 06-07 NCAA Football thread going to start?
I'm thinking early August would be good or whenever the preseason rankings come out.
can't wait to see where my Trojans are ranked...hopefully top 10.
They've been top 10 in every preseason ranking I've seen so far. Top 3 in the Athlon Sports mag I just bought, which I thought was much too high. Especially since they had WVU at 6.

well having 3 straight #1 recruiting classes will do that...although I'm expecting an 11-1 or 10-2 record.

The Pro bowl might be the worst all-star game but the way they vote is by far the best. I'm pretty sure the fans/coaches/players each get a third of the vote. What makes the baseball voting even worse is that the game actually means a lot for the playoff teams(home field goes to the winning team). It seems like a contradiction and another stupid move by Bud Selig

I think its like 40/40/20 or something like that. It's not even I know that much. And Bud Selig is BY FAR the worst commish, although Betman has been catching up lately...
