I'm intrigued now.
In all seriousness, do you have the weight on the tone arm balanced? Is the phonograph plugged in? Did you take the record out of the sleeve before you put it on the turntable?

yes my record player is fine - the paper is out. it's almost like the speed of the record is going form slow to fast slow to fast. and when the record starts out. it does not look like this
it's like a spiral- the lines start out at the edge and move their way in-

Hmm...
Well, first I'd suggest, if you haven't done so already, that you make sure that if your record has a large hole in the middle that the nub that holds the record in place be the same size, otherwise slippage may occur.
Secondly, all records have only one groove on each side, and they tend to spiral towads the center.
Third idea, if the speed of the record is actually changing, then it is a distinct possibility that the drive belt in your record player may be very worn and about to break. Or it could be the psychedelics, but check the drive belt.

whatever the problem is, it is at your end. Mp3s of the x-mas single are floating around. Drifting sounds a little different but it is still basically the same song and as PD said Strangest Tribe is the same.
