(Expanding on the tool appreciation thread) If you're a tool fan (or not)and have never heard the version of Push It off Salival, it's a must, it's the closest thing to a masterpiece i've heard in a long long while.

If you're going to hear that song, dim the lights and close your eyes. Masterpiece? Damn right.

Don't listen to what Maynard says right before the song starts though.

It bests the album version, IMO. Too bad they didn't play it that way, when I saw them live.

Whoever experienced that live defines the word "lucky."

Yeah it's a bit pretentious.. but the song makes up for it.

I got the Salival version when I saw them in 2001. I think they play it that way about 50% of the time now.

yeah ive seen it live that way 2 or 3 times...and ive seen the band 3 times....just an amazing live experience. the second time i saw them it was in the pit...just after stinkfist about 4 songs into the set and crowd was just nuts ...and everybody calmed right down and just chilled. swaying to the beat. very surreal

LOL no, that's not why at all. Tool are into all that Crowley stuff right, and in "magic" one rule is you have to have the person(s) permission to be able to "do" anything. That and Maynard is an asshole.

I'm sorry but I fail to see how telling people to find a ''comfortable space'' and such has anything to do with magick.

If anyone wants this, I have a good mp3 of it on my computer. I'll be able to send it once I get it back on the internet here at home.
