I know there are some other fantasy football threads already, but this one is dedicated to team names only. I'm still working on mine but I have in narrowed down to a few. I still need some inspiration though. How about the rest of you FF freaks? What are some of your favorite team names? Past teams names? For those already decided, what's your team name for 2006?

This is definately a great thread...

my team last year: Ron Mexico is burning
some past names (football and baseball)
Eric Moulds and the dead beat dads
Latteral like a fox
Stone Cold Ted Williams
Jason Giambi: It's Eating me Up inside
Barry Bonds' *
Kirby: 1 stroke and your out
al-Zarqawi's 72 virgins

As of now my 2006 name is "Big Ben's feeding tube" but I'm guessing something better will come along this summer.

Capt Murphy's Stache
Bionic Commandos
Mullet Marauders
Road-Graders

and for PJ fans,
Crop Dusters
Crap Shooters

I've recently started naming at least one team(usually one in a private league) of naming one of my teams after a QB who was godly in college but did shit in the pros. So far I've used Shaun King and Ken Dorsey. Rodney Peete, Cade McNown and Tommie Frazier are prime targets for this years football team.

There's a guy in my baseball league who always incorporates Pokey Reese into his team name. Last year it was "Pokey Reese Stole My VCR." This year it's "Pokey Reese Shot Tupac."

I was "Car Ramrod" for a few years in baseball, actually won my first baseball league with it. I was "Tedy Bruschi Has A Posse" for football last year, and "The Hartford Whalers" for a few years in hockey.

Jim McGreevy's Ass Blasters.

last year it was something to do with Ron Mexico I can't remember.

The Black Hollywood Wetback Green Wave was too long.

i play at exit42 for the past 8 years or so. normally i make my worst team halfway through the season the monkey, that way, when the other team trounces me, it will say

<team name> spanked the monkey

the only bright spot in an otherwise abysmal season

I was thinking about incorporating Ernie McCracken in my name for this year. Something like Big Ern's Comb Over(s) or Hail Ernie McCracken. I'll need some more time to come up with more ways to use it though.

I usually go with LBC (Long Beach Crips) wit da 187. I try to have my team as gangsta oriented as possible so people will fear my team and be more willing to comply with my trade demands.

But as far as other teams, in the leagues I usually do with my high school buddies, they just come up with random goofy shit like Gooch Mooch or Poot Scoot.

A pretty fun name I read was Off In The Woods so if he lost at least he could tell people that they beat off in the woods.
