I really enjoyed his performance at the Reading Festival. He was the last band on the Saturday night and over-ran by 15 mins. Now my mate's band played on the Friday (The Do Me Bad Things - check them out!!) and he told me that you get fined £1000 for every minute you run overtime - well he should know an extra 2 mins cost them £2000. So I guess it was an expensive 3 songs. but it was good to see someone not care about stuff like that. But when they cut him off he got pissed off(understandably) and threw his mic to the ground and stormed off. But yeah I liked his new album and hope he's feeling OK after his recent car crash...

lanegan is amazing, lots of good stuff to look forward to from him next year as well: gutter twins, queens album appearance, covers ep, solo double-album and a long-lost trees album (though the solo stuff will probably take awhile). can't wait :D

i know i just hope it doesn't take over a year longer than expected to be released like bubblegum was.

From Magnet Magazine oct/nov 2004:

I'm asking you whether this was a frantic process or if it has been in the works for a few years.
It was recorded in a few sessions over the course of a couple years, but short sessions. Just when I had time off to do it. I'm in the midst of recording my next one right now; that's partially what I was doing here in Antwerp. Actually, I'm recording a few. A double album of originals and a little record of covers.

What can you tell me about them?
They kick ass like all the rest of my records.

Yeah, what's the story with that "new" Trees material? Is it going to be made up of the demos they made in 2000 (I think that's when they recorded them anyway) or what?

well its either gonna be the record they recorded in 94 and didn't release or the stuff they recorded in 2000 in which case the songs of those demos probably will be on their along with some other stuff. unfortunately they haven't given any information since they announced it other than mark making a random comment that it was one of those two things

Oh yeah, the aborted post-Sweet Oblivion pre-Dust record. I'd love to hear that for sure.

Bumped 'cause I was just listening to Hit The City. This has to be the best duet of the year.

I love his voice. It is so bad ass!

I would love for him to get together with Mccready and put out another mad season album.

Bubblegum was one of my favorite albums of the year.
