I enjoyed ecstasy for awhile, it's great for concerts and sex. But eventually the "hole in the head" feeling the next morning became too overwhelming and I haven't done it for a few years. I still go for Molly (pure MDMA) every once in awhile, but the occassions are few and far between. Especially since Phish broke up. :?

I went away to college from the mid to late 90's and some of my friends that stayed home got into the whole rave thing. When I would go back they would take me to them and I tried X a couple of times, it was alright but I hadn't tried any hard drugs (anything other than pot) for a while, and the whole thing just wasn't my kinda scene.

It kinda messed a couple of my old friends' lives up. It wasn't so much the X, but they moved on and had gotten into K. I don't see why anyone would ever enjoy this. They did it around me a few times and all they did was lay on the couch trying to keep their eyes open, barely able to talk. Not unlike me after I drink too much, but at least that isn't the initial effect of alcohol.

The thing that really messed them up is when they got into meth. That shit is the devil. One guy in particular is bad off. He was a smart kid when I knew him in high school and was a pretty good football and baseball player. I saw him last summer when I went to visit and he's 29, lives in his parents basement, has no job and still does meth when he can steal from his parents or hawk his own stuff to afford it. It's pretty sad.

Ketamine... cat tranquilizers. Bad shit. I've never tried it, but I know plenty of people who have. I lived in a house with 8 other kids a few years ago and the place was a bit of a drug haven, pretty much any drug other than heroin was consumed on a regular basis. These kids and their meth, it was disgusting. They would stay up for four days straight on the stuff, just to sit around and giggle. Totally lame. Finally one kid ended up in a mental hospital and it sobered everyone up, at least enough to stop doing K and meth and most of them quit doing coke as well.

Yar... yar. It is really too bad about my friend Benny, who ended up in the mental hospital. He found out he was schizophrenic, and combined with the heavy drug use, he will never be the same again. I know he isn't into the hard drugs anymore, but he still drinks heavily and it's a constant battle to force him to take his medication. I don't see him that often anymore, but when I do, it's a real sad sight. :(
