I disagree. She's only in her mid teens. If she can play with the guys, let her.

The men's competition is obviously tougher than the women's, so guys on the LPGA tour doesn't make any sense.

what about the guy who is fighting to pay the bills and got bumped from the tourney to make room for her pathetic game?

if she wants to try it, fine, but by now she needs to realize that she should improve her game with the ladies... hell, she hasnt even won an LPGA event yet

There's the Nike tour and a few other tours for men who can't hack it.

Besides, her playing in PGA tournaments brings attention to the sport, and that's why they're really doing it.

If the guy is struggling to pay bills and is getting bumped from the same tourneys in which Michelle W. is playing, then that guy obviously sucks just as badly, if not worse. In which case, I would rather look at Michelle Wie bending over to pick up her ball after scoring an 8 than the poor guy.

That is all.

The other guys should get better instead of complaining about sponsors exemptions.

That said, I don't care about her, I'm actually sick and tired of hearing about her and her shitty play in mens tourneys.

When she figures out how to putt, she is going to dominate the LPGA.

She will win a PGA event by the age of 25.

if we knew eachother, i'd make some money off of you in regards to the latter part... i dont think she'll ever beat the men, ever.

what was she today?... about 20 strokes off the pace BEFORE the weekend... and let's face it, the field is WEAK

i asked my wife if she thought MW was hot last night when she came up on ESPN. i think she was a little disturbed by the question.

I agree with the first part, but the second part is bullshit. And I think its bullshit she gets to play on the mens tour, shes a freakin girl. Shes denying a guy a chance in the field, and the fact theres a Nike Tour or whatever its called now below it doesnt make any difference. Why doesnt she start on that tour?
Coupled with that, her dad is a fool. Shes had 10 caddies in a year or 2, each keep getting fired coz the old man wasnt happy with them. Michelle, sling your hook and go make a decent living on the LPGA. And if she hasnt won a tournament on that tour, what makes her think she should get a go with the guys anyway?

If you're good enough to live your life playing golf, I have no sympathy anyway.

The Michelle Wie thing right now is a marketing gimmick. It's nice to draw attention to the bounty or Tide with Bleach open but Wie is no where near the caliber of golfer it takes to compete in the PGA yet. 10 years from now I think she could be there, at this point seeing here finish every tournament on friday night at +5 is boring. I don't exactly know how she would be better served but at some point, the public is going to yawn and look away if she doesn't start producing. Obviously she's better at 16 than most golfers are in their entire lives, but if she doesn't start winning, the novelty will wear off.
