I've been seeing so many threads, especially with the new site up, with people claiming this album or that is their "absolute" favorite, or what not.
I was curious to see, who here, like me, honestly does not have a favorite PJ album?
Now granted there are some albums of mine that have gotten less and less play over time, namely Vs. and Ten, and some that have gotten more play recently like Binaural. But I honestly can't say I've ever had a favorite PJ album. I "apprciate" them all for one reason or another. If you asked me this week what my favorite is, I would most certainly give you a different answer next week.
100% agree, I could never pick a favorite anything in Pearl Jam, it's always changing. I wouldn't even say I've stopped listening to any album as much, maybe for a time, but thats the best. It's like finding an old friend.

I'm not sure if I have a fave or not because I seem to bounce between Vitalogy and Yield... but No Code, and Ten, and Vs are just as good. (Not to completely trash Binaural & Riot Act, but, y'know... )

It is always on constant rotation, depending on my mood and such. I have more of an attachment to Vitalogy, just because I didn't think I was going to get it (because it came out around Christmas) and my parents told me don't you dare try and buy anything for yourself before Christmas.
I got the CD and Vinyl, both, on Christmas Day! ! !

Aw cmon, No Code rules, and you know it
It does, and it is one that tends to get more play than others, but I still cant' go out and say it's my "favorite"
why not? if it gets more play than others then surely it's your favorite?
It TENDS to be played more. But it often depends on my mood, for instance I haven't listened to No Code in about two months, but I've had Vitalogy, and Binaural in a constant rotation. Plus any other CDs by other bands I pop in.

I dont play it constanly either, but i know if i got deserted on an island and had only one cd, I would want it to be No Code.
I guess it depends how you define "favorite."

I go from album to album listening to them until I wear them out. Currently stuck in a Binaural thingy. The ones occur most often are No Code, then Ten, then Binaural, then Yield.

I dont really have a favorite song or album either, it changes so much from time to time. Most of the time when people ask me I just tell em I dont have one. I mean one week I could really be into Riot Act and then the next I could be really into Vs or whatever.

There is too much really good music out there to pick one song or record as my favorite. I think it's enough that I have narrowed it down to a favorite band.
