I have this game. I love it. I usually only buy the NCAA game every other year, and Madden every year, so stuff like the inseason recruiting and practice is new to me.
I have it for 360 and have been playing it non-stop.
Fun as hell is all I can really say about it. The balance is pretty even, and while it isn't perfect, I enjoy playing it as a sports game buff.
What team do you play as? Baylor?
Hell yeah. Going to the Gator Bowl with Miami.
I'm playing Texas earlier in the season, and on my first offensive play, Bell fumbles it and they run it in for a TD. 7-0. Ensuing kickoff, my returnman fumbles it and they run it in for a TD. 14-0, and we're a good 10 seconds in.

i think i might have to get this game. I've been out of the loop for awhile but got Gamecube as a wedding gift from one of my friends. I play Tiger Woods all the time and will challenge anybody to $50 a hole. I went undefeated with the Colts in Madden 2006(?), whatever last years was. Haven't played a college football game since Sega Genesis.
Anyway, quick question. Do you have to go through all that practice bullshit or can you just play a season without all the other stuff that these newer games always unnecessarily seem to have?
is there any way you can download the players real names onto the game instead of playing with "qb #8"??
I'm glad they finally have the 'generate player names' in this game. Brady Quinn may not be 'Roy Campanella,' but it's a lot easier to just leave them that way.

I don't have the game myself, but I think "generate player names" gives the players random names that the announcers will call out. I thought past NCAA games had this option, though.
In the ESPN games (at least for the college hoops games), they had a database of "random" player names that were actually the names of the real players. You could type the first few letters of someone's first or last name and it would fill in the rest for you. It made editing the rosters go by really quickly, something I wish EA would implement into the NCAA games.

EA didn't make a Gamecube version of NCAA 07. They didn't make one for 06 either.

There are many sites that will allow you to mail you a memory card and they will put all of the player's names in, for around 10 bucks. I'll give you a couple of links, but you can try ebay, too.

I just enter in the names of my favorite team, and let the rest go, but you might be interested in this.
the fk rosters is the best..wow i cant believe that he does that..and its free but if i go through with this ill give him a donation
You can buy some sort of transfer thing for like $15, I'm sure others will know about it, so it's not like he's putting all of the names in manually. I'm sure he makes some beer money.
