So, I'm thinking most new releases coming out on DVD lately have been pretty shitty. So what I'm asking, are there any movies out there that don't get the critical aclaim such as that of say "Syriana", maybe one that just seemed to slip through the cracks that is a good watch? This is open to any type of movies, so toss in your thoughts.

Have you seen Brokeback? I know it doesn't match your criteria, but I saw it recently and thought it was pretty damn good.
