What? That's nearly identical the the current costume in the comics. I'd say its the most faithful movie costume ever, if it is in fact what they're using.

I'm not really an Iron Man fan, just never gotten into his story, but this should be interesting. I wonder if they'll keep him an alcholic?

As for the uniform, I thought that the Batman Begins outfit was pretty close to what it should look like. Granted I don't think that the original suit was made of body armour, but the look was right. The Reeves Superman outfit was very close to the comics. Even Spidey is close, other than the web slingers.

That poster looks pretty close to Patrick Zircher's pencils (it might even be his art.) There's no way they're going to show off the movie armor now, though. We'll have to wait a while to see that.

The Batman costumes although cool looking, are not close to what he looks like in the book.

I don't care if it looks just like it looks right now in the comics, it's ugly and i want the real one, dammit. THE REAL ONE !

I don't think they have the technology to pull that off in a movie.

actually they will pull that off. tony will be a POW and design the armor and it will be gray, but i think this is done in flashbacks. im sure you will see a progression of the armor on display and it will probably end with the current armor seen in the civil war/avengers/iron man comics

and mandarin is confirmed as the big baddie

If they do that whole 'hall of different IM armour' thing on film, my inner geek will probably die of a joy overlaod.

I hope War Machine is in it. They're going to need a token black guy anyway.

someone tell me the iron man story

brilliant industrialist who is over in korea/china on buisness. get caught in a war and has a bomb go off near him, embedding shrapnel in his body that it is slowly traveling towards his heart.

in the prison camp, he is befriended by a brillian inventor/scientist who helps him build armor that will not only keep him alive once the shrapnel reaches his heart, but will make him stronger and offer more protection. before the can finish the armor, brillian inventor offers to fend off the jailers just long enough for the armor to charge up, and pays for it with his life.

then end result is the gray armor seen in the picture above. since then, he has modified it and painted it (gray was too scary to people) and it is now at the point where the armor resides under his skin, so all he has to do is put on his helmet and the armor magnatized to full strength

He also drinks a lot and fucks a lot of hot women.
