what famous or better known games have you been to and can brag "I was THERE!"?
not many for me, I was at the Dan Marino Fake Spike game, and it was glorious....thats about it, out of the thousands of games Ive been to. The only playoff game of any kind I was at were all of the Mets game 3's during their 2000 WS run. I was at the Benny Agbianni HR game. wow huh. oh, and I stood front row to see my Hoyas lose the NIT championship to St Johns, which was the most fun Ive ever had at a basketball game ever, even if my team lost.
now the ones I missed? I had tickets to David Cones perfect game but gave them away and we went to YS for a game and got rained out, so when in line for rainchecks I said to the boys "lets go next sunday against the twins", to which they saod fuck that who wants to see the twins?...yup, Wells was Perfect that day

when the new york giants ruined the denver broncos' perfect season with a touchdown pass from kent graham to amani toomer with roughly a minute left.
i was there. broncos' side. 50-yard-line. five rows back.

game 1 of the 1996 world series between the yankees and braves when andruw jones had his coming out party against andy pettitte in a 12-1 blowout win.
me and my father had a choice of tickets: game 1 or game 6. cocky me, thinking the series won't make it 6 games, said let's take game 1.
the yankees won game 6 and the world series while i sat at home cursing myself.

I also saw The Lions first win at Ford Field. (2nd game there)
odd story, i was listening to Opie and Anthony yesterday, and they were playing a worst of- and a game involving a staple gun and newspapers came on... and anthony mentioned Shane Spencer hitting a grand slam last night...
Game 3 NY Mets/Astros 1986 NLCS - Dykstra hits a HR in the 9th. Amazing game
Jets/Steelers 1983 - last game played at Shea Stadium, last game played by Terry Bradshaw
That's about it. I don't really go to games anymore
is it true the fans were setting fires in the stands? or am I thinking of something else?

I've been to a bunch of Yankee playoff games since '95...probably 15-20 or so.
I was at MSG for Ewing night a few years ago...and for a couple of games during the run to the finals in '99.

I didn't quote it to correct you, because thats irritating and pointless on a message board, but it was too hilarious to pass up. I literally laughed out loud.
