Take a look at the shirt that Eddie is wearing during the 11/9/91 show at Tower Records in Rockville, MD. It is a simple number 9.
We lost 9 friends we'll never know in 2000 at Roskilde.

I think that you should be able to make the coincidental connection, or should I spell it out for you?
Why does there have to be a point? Why would you post "Your point?" because it makes you look like an asshole, rather than just ignoring the post or relating to it somehow.
Stupid fuck.

You think thats amazing... you should take a look at the pic of me where I'm wearing my favorite McKid sweatshirt on 09/07/89. It is red with a simple "m".
The fact that you support and eat McDonald's already tells me a bit about you. While you are feeding your face with shit, you are also feeding the corporate machine.
Pearl Jam would be proud to have you as a fan.
Your post is truly useless.

1. BE RESPECTFUL OF OTHERS! Personal attacks are not welcome here. If you have a beef with someone, take it up with them privately, away from RM resources. This board is not the place for it.

I feel that I simply posted something that PJ fans could find to be interesting, yet nobody here has commented at all about the coincidence.
Perhaps that is because based on most of your ages, while I was watching PJ play that gig live in 1991, you may have all been learning to live without diapers.
Generation Y is revolting.

I think the word 'beef' is kinda funny after the MacDonalds mention And I did get the point, by the way, if a point was needed. Can't believe it's 6 years ago already this month!
groetjes,
Mirella

I like the shirt in your avator wes. And those Danish events were tragic, it's important to remember them as Pearl Jam return to the festival stage in a month or so's time

We lost 9 people in our PJ family for no reason at all.
I just listened to Boston 5/24/06 this morning, and Love Boat Captain of course makes mention of them.
I am not trying to be purposefully rude to people here, but I thought that this crowd would be able to offer something productive.
Zephyr, thanks for your words.

Hahahaha.....wow. You must be right. Eating McDonald's every once in a while makes me an awful human-being. Plus the fact that I went to university and got my business degree so I could become apart of the corporate machine. Pearl Jam would be very disappointed to know I'm a fan for sure, after all I'm sure they know that everybody can make a wonderful living by bagging food at their locally owned grocery store or by picking up bottles off the side of the road.
Pearl Jam would be proud to know I'm a fan because I purchase all of their albums, Posters, DVD's, bootlegs, and go fucking ape-shit during their concerts. Plus I'm sure they realize that not everybody has the ability to become a rockstar and have the luxury to be able to ignore "the evil" corporations.

It will be interesting to hear how the band reacts at that first festival show. I'd imagine Ed will be quite worried about things. I hope it doesn't detract from the show too much and those guys that are there get a good show. I think Ed would make mention of Denmark near the start of their set

I think about Roskilde a lot, especially when I'm at Pearl Jam shows. Like the band said almost immediately after, there really are no words to describe it. Just a reminder that life can end at any moment.
There are a number of ongoing discussions about Roskilde on this board, this discussion could probably be merged with those threads. I'm not being critical of your intention, I'm sure it was heartfelt, it's just that this doesn't seem to me like this topic should be its own thread.

Yeah he will! I have always gathered and surmised that Ed worries about stuff A LOT more than people think. Thats why I have always detected a lot of sincerity and urgency when he says things like, "take care of each other out there," etc, etc. Yeah, he acts all cool and relaxed and sucks on that bottle of wine....but I always picture him obsessing and worrying about all the things that can go wrong the night before shows. It has actually made me feel safer somehow knowing that all the things that can go wrong for people who come to their shows actually bother them, and its something they think about. The first few GA/festival shows will certainly bring out a lot of anxiety and painful memories for them, but like anything else, after they happen without a glitch and are amazing shows the anxiety level will decrease a bit.
