So drive a car and die younger but put a stress on energy consumption or bike and live longer thus putting a stress on the enviroment...pretty cold look.

I just got back from a spinning class in which I drove my car to the gym and rode a stationary bike in an air condition building for 45 minutes. I think I'm doing as much good for the environment as possible, no?

Thanks, I enjoyed this. I especially like the graph.

To me, the validity of his point isn't necessarily relevant as much as the way this illustrates how one can use scientific evidence and statistics to support basically any perspective.

The phrase "sedentary lifestyle" I'm kinda finding quite humorous for some reason.

What if I drive a car, get to places faster, and have more time to fuck and make babies?

this whole longevity thing is entirely irrelevant.

modern science is focused on keeping fat people heathy and living longer. if that trend continues, in the next 50 years, we will be overpopulated with fat people on mega doses of pharmaceuticals just to stay alive, all the while consuming way more natural resources than an overpopulation of healthy people.

what??? why did you just say that longevity is irrelevant, but then post a paragraph about why people will live longer? seems like you just made a point about how relevant longevity is.

sorry, i guess i was not all that clear: it is irrelevant because the longevity that the US is working toward has nothing to do with the people who are healthy and fit.

we are going to have an over population problem due to longevity because we are sinking all our research money into heart disease, diabetes, and other weight related ailments...therefore we will be bestowing longevity on the people who eat and will continue to eat more than "their share" of natural resources.

IMO, human powered vehicles have nothing to do with our potential over population problem.

No, the worst of both worlds. You drove your car, and made yourself more healthy, you selfish fuck.

Oh...well then maybe I'll make a graph and prove my contribution to the earth.
