stands and applauds for A.I.... first player in the NBA to score 50+ points in consecutive games in 4 years (A. Jamison was the last player).

tonight = 51 points (18-31), 6 assists, 7 steals
2 nights ago = 54 points (17-29), 8 rebounds, 5 assists

Philly lost a heartbreaker tonight. Iverson and Korver were amazing to watch tho. we outscored Utah by 18 in the 3rd quarter and got right back into it. i know the sixers arent high and mighty. i realize we're a joke to alot of people. We're the smallest team in the NBA but i guarantee you we've got the most heart.

ahhh it hurtsss.

He did it shooting only 31 and 29 shots. This makes me wish Indiana would trade for him.

how bout we give you Glenn Robinson and both of our draft picks for Ron Artest?? :D

thinking about Iverson and Artest being on the same team makes me salivate. we'd easily lead the NBA in steals.

It would be better in Indiana.

PG: Allen Iverson
SG: Stephen Jackson
SF: Ron Artest
PF: Jermaine O'Neal
C: Jeff Foster

6th Reggie Miller
7th David Harrison
8th Fred Jones
9th Scot Pollard
10th James Jones

This team would be neat...right up to the point where all of them would begin fighting and arguing with each other with at least one of them getting killed by Artest.

I think it would take about 2 games for that scenario to play out.

What good is 51 points if your team doesn't win?

I watched the entire game, and Iverson would be the first to tell you that it doesn't matter since they lost. Nobody else on the team could hit a shot in the 4th. Iverson kept getting the ball to other players in position to score and they just kept missing shots they normally make, plus they gave up a ton of offensive boards.

The rest of the team let him down last night.

amen. i was actually screaming at the TV "Stop passing the ball Iverson!!!!". he was almost too unselfish. everyone played hard but only he and Korver could knock down shots last nite.

True. The guy is simply amazing. The most exciting player to watch in the N.B.A.

That team is just flat out fun to watch but as a singular player no one beats Iverson. He just has the ball in his hands so much .

True. I mean, we talkin' about 51. 51 points. I mean, we talkin' about 51 pts. Not the 54 that I kill myself for....we talkin about 51!

hahahahaha. best post of the day.

seriously tho that guy is just flat out fun to watch these days.....in the late 90s i hated him but now he plays the game the right way.

not to mention its amazing to see someone who's 5'11 and barely 160 pounds reach these kind of stats.

I've been watching AI since he was a Hoya........and he's one of my favorite players in the leauge.

Yes he shoots too much sometimes, but it's not like Philly has had a legit "second star" to share the load w/ him.

And who's the best big man he's played with since he came in the league?
Guys like Dikembe, Ratliff, DC and Geiger don't exactly command double-teams.
