Year 1 in the rebuilding year. Mangini is running the show, decent draft but nothing super. The OL should be better as the season goes by, The running game and passing game are up in the air. The defense should be ok even with the losses of law and abraham. But in the AFC east, can the jets even get to 8-8? I guess will start this one now....

The HUGE question mark here that I see is at QB. Is Pennington's arm strength going to be strong enough after surgery? If not, does Clemens have the arm to make it?

I really like what they've done at other positions, but they could be struggling for a while until the QB question is answered.

Did I see something about Curtis Martin being put on the PUP list yesterday? Was that just an excuse to let his old bones skip training camp?

pretty much. They put McCarins on the list too because he failed his conditioning test.

Don't forget about Patrick Ramsey. I'm sure he or Pennington will open the season as the starter. After one day it looks like Ramsey in the lead.

I am just glad herm is gone to be honest.. he did alot of good, but they always started slow and he just was mind boggling with his time clock managent. I have never see anything like it in my entire life.

I think Mangold and fergeson are gonna be two really good players.

I hope they are just taking extra precaution with it. For it still to be sore from a December surgery is not a great sign.

I too am glad Herm is gone, there were days I loved the guy and then he would just kill you with the clock stuff. I am not expecting too much this year, I hope Chad can prove everyone wrong but the odds are against it.

I thought it was hilarious when all the Jet fans booed Herm when he gave an interview to ESPN.

Without Herm around to snatch defeat from victory I could see them going 8-8 with their schedule, though it hinges on how Mangina does.

I don't see how they are going to win 8 games when you know they will lose four games this season to the dolphins and pats.

I love how everyone refers to the coach as mangina.

Nah, it's just too funny to pass up. He's alright with me - as long as he doesn't make the Jets great.

I love the Mangina name. people here are also calling him Tangini (for Tannenbaum and Mangini), that one I think is kind of gay
