ugh, what a disaster of a situation. out of all the players to take extra benefits it has to be the rich suburban kid with a pompadour.

What happened? Well, I mean, I see he took benefits, just a bit of shock and I haven't heard anything about this.

oooh, nice pick Athlon Sports. Not good for OU.

That really sucks for Peterson. Who are they going to put in there, I don't even know who is thier second string?

he got kicked off the team today, along with an offensive lineman.

Shit, I hate to see this, best of luck to OU.

It couldn't happen to a better school.

They will still make the BSC championship and get blown out again. Sorry I am still bitter.

dude - our mascot is not the "Texans" or the "Travis's".

weren't you the one telling me Big Red was a non-issue?

anyway, i'm sort of disappointed in a sense. i always prefer a matchup that includes each teams best players and looked forward to Bomar getting pounded into the turf again by Robison, Crowder, Okam, et al.

who will they start now? move Thompson back? or the backup on the depth chart - isn't he a JC transfer?

Wow. Goodbye championship hopes. The D will be amazing, but the O is going to be a lot like it was last year now.

And likeatab, I don't have inside info or anything, but I can almost guarantee you Thompson won't move back. Not after he's spent all this time repping at WR, anyway. Just a guess.

Do you honestly think UW is going to score 17 in any game this year?

Isaiah Stanback is Cody Pickett x 1,000 AS, c'mon.

I'd honestly be surprised if UW got into double digits against OU. They have a top 5 unit at every defensive position.

Stanback couldn't even win in high school. Let the Jake Locker era begin.

lots of rumors floating around out there right now that this will go much deeper, including a possible re-opening of the investigation of AD.

Well, Hmmmm. I am a Sooners fan,and to be honest, I'm not completely devistated by this. I mean, Bomar threw for 10 TD and 10 INT last season. Wasn't like OU was depending on his arm to lead this. I could go out there and hand off to Adrian Peterson for 60 minutes. They will go with Thompson to be the starter. He was the starter going into last year but lost the job after the loss to TCU. Turns out TCU was pretty good. This does suck, but not end of the world for Sooners fans.
