This is one of the most underrated movies I've ever seen. It's a masterpiece. I love the Coen Bros.

Miller's Crossing, along with The Ladykillers, was the only Coen film that really didn't impress me, actually. I need to watch it again, though.

How funny is it? It can't be Big Lebowski funny or O Brother funny.. is it as funny as Raising Arizona and the Hudsucker Proxy

What's funny with this movie is that the Coen Brothers got the idea to make a film about writer's block when they themselves were going through a phase of writer's block. :P

It's not that kind of funny. It's 'funniness' comes more from satire rather than comedic situations or dialogue like the others.

I liked it. Not as much as a few other Cohen films though.

Rob Cohen's xXx is best, with Daylight and Dragonheart tying for a close 2nd.

:( I got bored watching this movie, fell asleep, and turned it off early.

I think this may be a symptom of Netflix. When movies don't come to your house everyday, you watch a movie when you want it. With Netflix, I MUST watch the movie IMMEDIATELY, so that I can return it and get more movies. This leads to me watching movies when I don't really want to, or as in this case, when I'm tired.

There are some movies that just aren't going to leave you on the edge of your seat, and you shouldn't watch them when you're tired. This is probably one of those movies. Since I've had Netflix, (and since I've had a baby), I've found quite a few movies on my list that I thought I wanted to watch, but I just couldn't make it through them.
