If so, which one(s)? I've been addicted to As The World Turns for years now, and now I have my 11yr old son hooked. But I'm not allowed to tell anyone (whom he knows). He wants to keep it a secret, so as not to mess with his cool & all that. But I have to say that it's very well-acted, with good story lines (most of the time, anyway). And watching it with him has actually given us opportunities to talk about stuff that might not spontaneously come up in conversation otherwise, like teen sex & pregnancy, AIDS, drinking, infidelity, homosexuality, or just run-of-the-mill soap grist like back-stabbing and lying.
Especially with tweenage kids, sometimes having a direct conversation about this stuff can make their eyes glass over, but because we're talking about the show's characters, it's a bit easier I guess because it's removed from the personal, you know? All I know is that we can't wait to see if Gwen forgives Will for cheating on her with that opportunist Jade, and the real identity of the slasher who's terrorizing the town. Oh, and if Maddie will open up to Casey about the time she was assaulted, and by whom...

i used to when i hadn't developed my brain yet (no offense )
is that when you started watching south park?
no thats a new thing really. the only soap i actually watched was as well ATWT, for like 2 years when i still lived in Holland, my mom used to watch it when i got home from school so watched along. it was kinda sad when i found out the other day that the guy who played Hal killed himself.

Brazilian soaps are quite high quality. Mexican soaps are horrible.

that was meant as a stab, but never mind...
yeah, the actor killed himself recently. so bizarre, really. they had just gone through a long, emotional storyline where his daughter died, and now they barely mention his character at all. i guess they're trying to find a replacement.

I used to watch ATWT back in middle/high school. Back when Lily was getting tortured and poisioned by Diego's mother. =)
