Dont we all pay membership dues to the 10C? (ill answer that ...YES)
Then whats with this Secret Society the 10C has going on. They dont publish anything. I just found out this morning that earlier this year the sold last years posters on the site and this year they will be doing it again. Why is it i have to get this info from these forums and not from them. Should they send out an email to members informing them of such a sale. I get an email when tickets go on sale.
Also, Ive heard there is alot of favortism is the 10C, i dont have any concrete evidance, but I have talked to alot of random people over the past tour at shows and I have heard alot of the same stories. Stories of people being able to transfer their tickets to other people. One dude had someones tickets who had a 10C number of like 45xxx but his number was like 300xxx. He said "if you ask the 10C nicely they will do it for you". I heard this same story from different people in different citys, it wasnt just this one guy. Ive also heard about people transfering whole memberships to other people. Thats F-ed up. Next thing you know people will be selling low number membership numbers on ebay.
The other disturbing thing i heard this tour was if you grease the palms at the 10C they will swap you bad # seats with good # seats.
Im sure there are other examples of the corrupt 10C. I wanna use this thread to air some of them out.
Why cant the 10C just make all their rules public and not favor certain members?
a.) the folks from the 10 club posted on the synergy message board every single time a poster was sold, and santos (the shipping guy) posted here a few times as well. we had a thread about it in the trading post that reached over 100 pages. not so secret.
b.) why are you so bitter about everything?
c.) i did a 10C ticket transfer to someone with a lower # than me for the pitt show and the lower # didn't apply, the seats were still based on my seniority.

i had to cancel a trip to camden this year and was able to transfer both pairs of tickets without a problem. i dont see a big deal as long as their generosity is not being abused, and i'm definitely not in any secret society. unfortunately i have (slightly) higher standards than flavdave.
conscientious, I must agree with you on (b).
the poster thing...who cares? let the people who spend 23 hrs a day online refreshing 10C.net get em. if its worth it to you, then you can be one of them as well.
the ticket bribing thing, i wont believe it until i see it.

Yeah, but do you know about the RM Secret Society?
We get free Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons, VIP membership to the great ball of twine, and "two for tuesdays" at the local donut shop.

A) for people who dont scour the message boards all day its a secret.
B) Im not bitter, its just that I see alot of these things going on and no one says anything about them. just would like to discuss them and get some answers on things to bring them to light.
C) maybe you didnt ask "nice" enough (translation, your not one of the chosen few 10c pals)

who are these "chosen few" that you speak of? those elites with internet access?
were you ever turned down by the 10C for a ticket transfer?
turned down?? i dont have the email in front of me, but from what i remember when i got my tix, it said something on the lines of, "when you purchase these tix, you own them, no refunds or transfers, although you will ask, the answer is still no"
no where on the 10C does it say anything about being able to transfer tickets? if it does please point me to it.
so as far as being turned down, thats not the point, the point is, who knew you could. Thats what im talking about when i say secret society.

They do not allow ticket transfers for obvious reasons. Scalping, being #1. That is their policy. But they are nice enough to do it in some cases for people who ask, as an exception. They can't make it an open policy without causing all kinds of issues, and I'm certain that if too many people started asking for ticket transfers, they would tighten up and deny everyone.

i understand what youre saying, but secret society implies that they told everyone that you cannot transfer, but then sent a second email to the "members" saying "psst...go ahead and transfer the hell out of these tickets." that was not the case. someone probably asked, they said ok, and then this person posted on the boards, so other people knew it was possible. i would hope that 10C watches out for abuse though.

Yeah they sold posters last year, but it was a means to test their servers for the upcoming (at the time) ticket distribution. There was advance notice given on Synergy each time, and probably on here, too. Not their fault you don't go there often. They had no reason to publicize it outside of those forums- they're certainly not obligated to do so.
And are you aware that posters were random? You had no idea what you were getting. I got three- THREE- Edmonton posters. Lucky me!
And random posters have popped up on the Goods section of the 10C site for as long as I can remember. It's a matter of luck with those- no one gets any notice that they're put up. They're just there. You consider yourself lucky if you snag one.
You have no right to bitch about not being made aware that posters were being sold. 10C is under no obligation to make poster sales public.

Then stop right there. You've got nothing to stand on.
But wait, you don't.

And they will. Did YOU ever bother to ASK? Yes, their guidelines say no transfers- but they have to say that, scalper issues being the main reason. 10C does go out of their way to accomodate the fans who have issues- any good company will do that for their customers. YOU JUST HAVE TO TAKE THE INITIATIVE AND ASK! WHAT A CONCEPT!
As for the 300xxx guy getting the 45xxx seats, did you ever just stop to think that maybe the 45xxx person initiated the transfer and 10C accomodated his request?

You've got nothing to stand on. You're just coming off as grasping for straws. Secret 10C society? Ha.
