I figured I'd start listening to their live shows. Seems like the thing to do they have about a million and are easy to get a hold of. Anyway anyone know and good live shows I should download?
I downloaded one from The Traders Den (5/23/00) because it has Waste on it.
Thanks in advance!

Any show from about '94 through '97 is going to have some good moments on it more than likely. Shows from Deer Creek in Indianapolis or Alpine Valley are good bets as well.

I just edited my last post so check that out. I can also recommend 11-7-'96 from Rupp Arena in Lexington. I was at the show and the boot lives up to my memories of it as a pretty rockin' show. Good mix of "hits" and less well known gems with at least two 20 min + jams.

Yeah I noticed that. I'll check out this show as well. Thanks for the help!

11/02/98 is pretty awesome. They cover Dark Side of the Moon. I prefer it over the Halloween shows I've heard.
Do people here like Phish? I get the feeling y'all don't really.
I for one like them a lot. But especially their live stuff can wear me down sometimes. 20 minute improvs are a bit much for me sometimes. A lot of the studio versions/albums are great too, I really like Billy Breathes.
That's my favorite show, and you can download a shn copy of it there. The versions of YEM, SOAMelt and Antelope are sick, as is the entire show. Antelope is just mind crushing.

I went through a Phish phase a few years ago. There live stuff can be very good, and they are all great musicians, but they don't seem to take their music too seriously. Rent the "IT" dvd if you can.

Even though they fool around a lot and they have a lot of goofy songs, they take their music very seriously. Watch or read any interviews with them, they're total music geeks.
