Just wondering if there is any hope of getting pearl jam to play other cities other then the usual suspects (get a petetion together?). Im mainly talking about the Australian tour, they always play Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Every capital city except DARWIN, Hobart and Canberra. Its ok to miss Hobart and Canberra, there both about an hours flight from any of the tour venues, its a 4 hour flight from Darwin to any of the venues that get played, and quite expensive.
I rekon there would be some awsome places to play a concert in the NT, ie Ayres Rock (would make an awsome dvd) , Katherine Gorge, Mayby Kakadu. Or they could do a normal stadium concert, whatever I dont realy care, just to watch them live would be enough.
The last big concert we had was AC/DC on the Ballbreaker Tour, that happened because a local radio station got a petition together and they came.
Would something like this work and get Pearl Jams attention?

I absolutely hate this idea. Those places are beautiful because of what they are. They don't need this artificial pop treatment. I imagine it'd be somewhat offensive to the traditional custodians of the land.

If they played at say Uluru, it would have to be a benefit concert, make it a spotlight event, get some attention on the health crises in the Abouriginal communities.
I understand the spiritual significance of Uluru, but they still let every man and his dog climb all over it. In saying that it wouldnt be likely to happen.
I know that the Darwin symphony orchestra played in the Katherine Gorge so it could be possible, but wouldnt be very practical.
Those suggestions were just fantasy world stuff, still would be good to see though.

Dude 4 shows in one country is good. Especially since the population is under 20 million.
Here, the population is 60 million. We get 2 festival appearences, and we had one show earlier in the year that I couldn't get tickets for. I'm not complaining, realistically I think that's enough, but 4 shows in Australia is plenty really.
In all honesty I thought these were the major cities in Australia (if you leave out the capital):
Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth

Heh, it's actually 10, but hey, we get the shows cos the records sell fine over here.
The new album is still n° 5 in my country and we're yet to see a Pearl Jam show. I'm not counting August 30th yet, cause they've been scheduled to play here before...
