Before people assume that I automatically hate Michael Moore....well, I do. Now, that is. I thought Moore did some great work with "Roger and Me" and "Bowling for Columbine," but with "Fahrenheit 9/11" he lost all credibility because that film was less about a search for truth and more about propaganda.
Take a look at his website. It is a relentless attack on Bush and the war. You'll never see anything positive about the war in Iraq.....just negative, including highlighting US soldier war crimes. The guy has gone off the deep end.

I would harldy say he has went off the deep end though I know he tends to make an ass out of himself. Also, I hate it when people says all this shit about how he hates America and he's basically a terrorist. Also, the people who respond to what he says by calling him a fatass are pretty retarded.

The purpose of posting this article was not to imply that he's a terrorist or hates America. I thought it was ironic that he could technically sue for copyright infringement.
I think he cares deeply about America, but his ideology has consumed his ability for critical thinking.....something a documentary requires. In Fahrenheit 9/11 he scored some good points but the "documentary" was also filled with half-truths and he used a good portion of facts in a distorted way that suited his agenda. It was a propaganda film.
On a side note - remember in the film when he was interviewing the woman who was complaining about how carried away the airport screeners were by making her take a drink from her baby's bottle? Doesn't seem that carried away now, does it?
And you're right, people should refute something Moore says without calling him a "fatass." Then again, calling these people "retarded" sort of falls into the same category.

Not really. Calling people who provide idiotic, mentally deficient arguments "retards" essentially encapsulates everything in one solid word. It's calling them, and their approach to discussion, retarded. And let's be honest, anyone who has an opinion about Michael Moore based upon his weight, or uses it as a reason to discredit him is a retard.

I don't seek to get into a debate regarding political correctness, but I'll leave it in saying that if I had an aquaintance or relative who fit the definition of "retarded," I wouldn't want someone throwing the word around like that.
I don't know where the whole weight thing came from, either. I never made mention of the guy's weight.

I wonder if the Iraqi insurgents learned how to take bits of film out of context from Moore or from al Arabiya.
Does ragging on Michael Moore make you feel hawkish?
