Train Of Thought denied?! what about Endless Sacrifice and Steam Of Consciousness and In The Name Of God ?!
Yeah, Train of Thought below WD&DU...That's rough.
Endless Sacrifice, Stream of Conciousness and In The Name of God is just about all I really enjoy from it.... The only song I actually despise listening to is Honor Thy Father, however. That is the most worthless waste of time Dream Theater has ever recorded. I was quite surprised, as that is the only song DT has done that I don't at least find listenable.

You don't like Honor Thy Father? I would put it after those three songs I mentioned in goodness. The "least" song on Train Of Thought is probably As I Am, and I actually like that song more and more lately too so.

I don't know, Honor Thy Father does nothing for me. Just gives me a headache. That's not why I listen to Dream Theater...
That, and the lyrics are awful on that song. They're the stupidest lyrics that DT has come up with, actually.

I think that DT were just feeling a bit angry when they record TOT, my money says the next DT album won't be as "heavy". But anyway, I have a live version of Fatal Tragedy on my comp there I think it's Portnoy sings the refrain "you can eat my ass and balls" instead of the right lyrics, it is teh funny.

I'm a bit disturbed that DT seems to be leaning more towards the "metal" side of prog metal now, as well.
I totally agree with you. Six Degrees was just awesome, it had metal, but it was delicate. Train of Thought isn't really that way to me. I really hope they lay off on the next album.
I don't understand why it is that way, either, as every single side project anybody is involved in is way better than Train of Thought. (OSI, Frameshift, Jelly Jam, Jordan Rudess solo, etc)

At one concert I went to, Portnoy had some interesting lyrics in Home:
"She's my daughter, and i'll f*** her, I can't keep away from her c***"
James even looked shocked.
