So yeah, this new board is here for about what.. 3 months? And we never even had a Zeppelin thread. Shame on us all! :x

So, this is just to talk about Led Zep, which are as we all know, one of the greatest bands ever... We can never talk enough about them, that's for sure.

Rank the albums. Now. (I know it is a difficult task but this can't be a good worship thread without some ranks  )

1. Houses of the Holy
2. Physical Graffiti
3. Led Zeppelin III
4. Led Zeppelin IV
5. Led Zeppelin I
6. Led Zeppelin II
7. In Through the Out Door

I don't have Presence...

My favorite song is probably "The Rain Song".. It represents to me the beauty of their music in such a special way...

I only heard Presence once and I don't know names of songs or anything but there were certainly a couple of songs that really got my attention. I'll buy it when I have money :P

What a Band!!!! How The West Was Won is fantastic as is the new dvd.

My favorite song would have to be In My Time Of Dying. I have been listening to them since around 1989 and I have pretty much everything they have made except all the boots.

Bohnam is God!!!

I through IV are all dead even. Houses of the Holy is almost up there, but I can't stand the 3 middle tracks that come before No Quarter.

Physical Graffiti has some good tunes, but the production just ruins them for me. Maybe it's just a really bad transfer to CD? I'll give it another chance if a remaster comes out.

Achilles Last Stand is the only thing I can listen to from the other stuff.

The Live DVD is indeed eeeeexcellent.

1) Led Zeppelin III - I hate the closer(Hats off to Roy) but is there a misstep on the rest of the album? I don't hear it. Tangerine and That's the Way are perhaps the 2 most beautiful songs the band ever wrote. Immigrant song is just classic zeppelin, it never gets old. Gallows Pole has always been one of my favorites. Out on the Tiles is just a great rock tune that luckily hasn't been tainted by the radio. Sames goes for Bron Y Aur Stomp that just kicks ass. I heard that song is about Plant's dog. That makes it even cooler.

2) Physical Graffiti - A double album by Zep is just double the greatness as far as I'm concerned. I think they past their peak right before this but this is truly an amazing album. It has so much variety. In the Light is one of the best songs from Zep. You have Down by the Seaside, Custard Pie, the epic Kashmir, the classic Page riff with Wanton Song. This album sends you different places

3) Led Zep IV - This could be #1 if i didn't play it to death as a youngster. The only song that isn't played on the radio is Four Sticks. Can you believe that?!? Every song is played on the radio but that one. Misty Mountain is the first Zep song i ever liked, Stairway is...well....one of the greatest songs ever written, Battle of Evermore is just eerie/beautiful and Levee Breaks is my favorite zep song of all time. I've bought this CD 3 times cause i wore them all out.

4) Led Zep II - This album probably contains the best songs but the production is really raw. Bleach(nirvana) sounds better than this. You can't deny the songs though. Ramble On, Heartbreaker, Bring it on Home, the bluesy Lemon Song, then ending it with the even more bluesy Bring it On Home. This album made me a zeppelin fan, no doubt

5) Houses of the Holy - I would guess that the band considers this their most loose album. They are all over the place here. The Song Remains the Same has like 12 guitars in it. The Rain Song is the soundtrack to my life whenever it rains. I can't stand Dyer maker anymore which brings the album down. No Quarter is pure gold.

6) Led Zepelin I - It's really been awhile since I've listened to this so maybe that's why i have it so far down. I stole this album from my sister before i left for college and i think i had sex to this album about 25 times because i loved it so much. maybe 15 of the times was with myself but doesn't that count? I think the production is poor once again but how can i deny Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, How many More Times and Dazed and confused... What makes Zep so good is that their #6th ranked album is better than most great rock bands #2.

I'm not gonna bother Presence, ITTOD and Coda because i'm sick of typing and i don't consider them in the same class as these
