OK, let's try to have some fun here. Below are a list of issues. I want as many of you to pick out around a top ten ranking or so of the issues in order of importance for the gov't to address. After I get enough sufficient answers, I'll compare the RM answers to polls that were given over a ten-year span, and we'll see how our priorities compare to average Americans.

I picked these as the ones where I think the federal government should back the hell off and spend money on the others listed. These can be addressed at the state level or by private agencies.
1. Less war around the globe, peace is a nice idea but a little far fetched at this time
2. World poverty and related issues, goes hand in hand with number one
3. Human right but not womens rights, which can directly contrivene human rights, goes hand in hand with number one and two
4. Making the UN functional, again goes hand in hand with numbers one, two and three
5. Environment
6. Welfare and poverty at home
7. Universal healthcare
8. Lessening the income gap between the rich and poor
9. Education
10. Campaign finance reform, getting all corporate dollars and non-eligible voters from donating money or money substitutes

I like your style. Especially including "Bush/president" in that list.

Ethics in government
Election/Voter reform
Education
Healthcare (not Medicare)
Energy
Social security
Human/civil/women's rights **including same sex rights
National security
Immigration
Taxes
Some things I would have liked to see on the list are:
1: Campaign Finance Reform. I believe taking Corporate influence out of Gov't decision making would take care of many items on the list. This is why I chose Ethics first.
2: Infrastructure Improvements- Such as Levees, roads and bridges. I would have had this down around 10.

I figure there is nothing that the federal government will do to "undermine" their mr. president. But maybe PETA can take him down.
