Watched this film for the second time tonight....brilliant, but very flawed. The narrative/plot structure just doesn't hold up at all and on initial viewings its completely incoherent. I noticed a lot this time around though, made some interesting connections (I know exactly what happens, I read it on a website after I saw it the first time), and there are certainly some very nice images. The acting is also very good.
The soundtrack is excellent I might add.

The soundtrack is great and so is the movie. What format are you watching it on? I cannot find a decent DVD copy of it. The only one i've seen is the Canadian version and the sound is all fucked up.

Its not out on DVD yet.
The tape copy from the video store was terrible, but there is some kind of odd, enjoyable pleasure I get from watching such a dark and trashy film on a shitty old tape.

It's been out in Europe for two years or something.

Yeah I have it on DVD. Great movie and great soundtrack.
That movie is so great and crazy and strange. I love David Lynch. Amazing soundtrack, too, though one of the best songs in the movie("Song for the Siren" by This Mortal Coil) wasn't even included in the soundtrack.

I agree, GV. I was able to follow it after my second viewing, and I understand why it was done that way after reading the website. I liked it, but I doesn't even compare to Muholland Drive. Excellent soundtrack.
