yikes!

Quote:
100 minutes of Pearl Jam - the band whose pompous take on the grunge sound was directly responsible for Nickelback, Staind and Puddle Of Mudd - is a test of anyone's patience. Pitching his public persona as a sensitive, angst-ridden but masculine alpha-male, Eddie Vedder was always an unloved second-best to Nirvana's Kurt Cobain.

Where are all the plastic bottles when you really need them?

UK is from the most horrible reviews come from. Anything that is not the coolest thing of the moment is trashed.

yeah, that review was pretty poor, but did anyone notice the links to other stories on that page? the crocodile hunter is dead? holy shit!

but yeah anyway, what a lame review by a guy clearly more concerned with catching "cool" acts than actually writing about music itself.

id rather listen to 100 minutes of pearl jam than one song by Nirvana. what a weak statement and a total waste of time.

mee too. i can't help wondering if i will ever become, and for a lack of a better word i hate using it, but i guess disinterested is the best i can come up with.

neil used to be my pj, for a good two years, maybe more. its been about four now with ed and the band...does the constant amazement ever begin to dwindle?? stip???

This is from our country, which has spawned many brilliant guitar bands, but currently idolises the boredom spewed from cack bands like Razorlight, Kaiser Cheifs and Arctic Monkeys.

No one here will agree with anyone else on music. this guy is obviously a twat.

But adding to this, it's keen to note that in terms of relative popularity, PJ is pretty much almost a cult band over here nowadays, the newest album caused a bit of increase in interest but generally all peopple under the age of 17 have not heard of Pearl Jam, unless they watch Kerrang and have seen the Alive or Jeremy videos.
